Alex Teixeira was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Alex competed for George Mason University (On a Full Athletic Scholarship) from 1998-2000 (Alex holds a single record of the most assistant in 1 season – “23”). He graduated in May 2000 with a BS in Advertising /Sports Marketing. In addition to playing soccer for George Mason University, Alex has played in Div.1 in Brazil, J2-league in Japan (Yamanashi-ken and Osaka) and Flamengo FC (One of the biggest professional soccer club in Brazil). He also was a member of Brazilian National Beach Soccer U-21.
