STRIKER ACADEMY:

Ashburn Soccer Club and International Touch Soccer Academy (ITS) are pleased to announce the start of its new Striker Academy. This program will complete our Academy programs and will run in conjunction with our Goalkeeper and Footskills Academies.

The Striker Academy program will focus on technical finishing and will work on areas such as striking for power, accuracy, volleys, headers and textured shots (such as chipping and bending the ball). The Striker Academy will begin its first season in Spring 2011 at Bles Park, and will be available for U9 – U18 Ashburn Soccer Club travel players.  

Players will be placed into three groups: U9-U11, U12-14, and U15-U18. Places will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The U15 – U18 group will focus on many of the same technical areas, as well as tactical areas such as penetrating runs, playing with back to goal, beating multiple defenders, 2nd striker – anticipating rebounds and 2nd striker – support play.

The Striker Academy will be run by Alex Teixeira (State ODP Coach / DC United Academy Staff) and Royce Brodie (USSF National C License / VYSA Academy Coach / ODP Northern District Coach / National Youth License ).

TIME: 5:00 – 6:15pm (Sept)  -  4:30 – 5:45 (Oct.)
COST: $150 per player  -  Refunds: Registration fees are non-refundable.
